Privacy for young users

Children's Privacy Policy

Our approach to children's personal data in digital products and services.

Effective date: 16 October 2026 · Last updated: 16 October 2026

VELTARIQ TECH PRIVATE LIMITED builds websites, mobile applications, Oracle APEX business systems, AI automation and chatbots, and database security solutions for businesses. This policy explains our approach when a project is intended for children or may collect information about them. The customer that offers a particular app or service usually decides why personal data is collected and is responsible for its privacy notices, consent and user support. Veltariq's role depends on the project agreement and how the product is configured.

1. The Veltariq Tech website

Our company website describes services to businesses. It is not designed for children, and we do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information through its contact form. The service chatbot on this website uses fixed service descriptions in the browser; its code does not send or save the text typed into it. For information about the website's contact form and technical providers, read our Privacy Policy.

2. Products we build for customers

Some customer projects may serve children, families, schools or other young users. The customer and Veltariq agree on data roles and responsibilities for each project. Depending on that agreement, Veltariq may build or maintain software that processes data on the customer's instructions. The customer should publish a product-specific privacy notice that identifies the responsible organisation, data collected, purposes, retention, contact route and any third-party providers.

Product features and actual data flows vary by project. A product-specific notice and the settings presented in that product take precedence for explaining that product's practices.

3. Children's personal data in client projects

A client may engage VELTARIQ to develop or maintain an application that processes information about students or other children. Where the client determines why and how the data is processed and VELTARIQ processes it on the client's behalf, VELTARIQ follows the client's authorised instructions and the applicable agreement, subject to applicable law. If the client uses its own server, database, infrastructure or API credentials, the client determines the purposes for which the data is collected and used. The parties' responsibilities may also be set out in the project agreement, statement of work or data-processing terms.

Where required by applicable law, appropriate safeguards will be implemented for children's personal data. The customer responsible for the product should provide a product-specific privacy notice and a contact route for parents or guardians.

4. Parental or guardian involvement

Where applicable law requires verifiable consent from a parent or lawful guardian before a child's personal data is processed, the organisation responsible for that product must obtain it before processing. The product should explain what data is requested and why in clear, age-appropriate language, and provide a way for a parent or guardian to contact the responsible organisation, review relevant information, and request correction or deletion where available under law.

For India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 defines a child as an individual who has not completed 18 years of age. Requirements and commencement dates may vary by provision; each product must be assessed against the law in force and any applicable exemptions when it is launched and operated. The Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 also set out implementation requirements and commencement dates.

5. Data minimisation and product safeguards

For projects involving children, we work with the customer to consider privacy and safety during product design. Appropriate measures depend on the product and may include:

  • Collecting only information needed for the stated feature or service.
  • Limiting access to children's information to authorised people and systems.
  • Using age-appropriate explanations and consent flows when required.
  • Reviewing analytics, advertising, location, profiling, AI and communication features for suitability and legal requirements before enabling them.
  • Providing practical retention, deletion and security controls agreed for the project.

These are design considerations, not a claim that every customer product automatically includes every safeguard. The customer remains responsible for selecting and operating features lawfully unless a written project agreement assigns a specific task to Veltariq.

6. AI features

Veltariq can develop AI chatbots and automation for customer projects. An AI feature is not automatically suitable for children. Before enabling one for young users, the customer should assess what information it receives, whether a third-party AI provider processes it, what the feature can say or do, how conversations are retained, and what human support or reporting route is available. A project-specific notice should explain those details. Do not enter a child's sensitive information into a product unless its responsible organisation has clearly explained the purpose and safeguards.

7. Requests and concerns

If your question concerns a customer app or service built by Veltariq, contact that app's publisher or the organisation named in its privacy notice first; it can identify the relevant account and data practices. If you cannot identify the responsible organisation, or your concern is about Veltariq's own website or our role in a customer project, contact info@veltariqtech.com with “Children's privacy request” in the subject. Please do not email a child's sensitive information.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our services, project practices or applicable requirements change. The current version and update date will be shown here. Contact VELTARIQ TECH PRIVATE LIMITED at info@veltariqtech.com or +91 97629 94547 with questions about this policy.

This general policy does not replace a product-specific privacy notice or legal advice for a particular project.
